Dr. Hermann, the Riesling-Estate with more than 9 hectares of vineyards, is managed by Christian Hermann. Winegrowing has been a tradition in the Hermann family for several hundred years. The estate was created in 1967 when the renowned estate Joh. Jos. Christoffel Erben in Ürzig was divided. In the following years, the vineyards were expanded. The Hermann’s specialize in Riesling grown on steep rock slopes. All of their vineyards grow exclusively on old, ungrafted Riesling vines which deliver the most complex Riesling wines.
