Our Story
The Bindi Sergardi family has always lived on and loved the land of Siena, in Tuscany, Italy. Alessandra and Maddalena Casini Bindi Sergardi represent the 23rd generation of the family and carry on its values of integrity, authenticity, and audacity. Together with their father Nicolò, they continue the evolution of the family’s 700-year-old experience in the culture of the vineyard. The three estates of Mocenni (Vagliagli), I Colli (Monteriggioni and Vagliagli), and Marcianella (Chiusi and Montepulciano) have a strong cultural identity, promoted wines, which express a clear connection with the territory.
Today Alessandra and Maddalena strive to be forward-thinking like their ancestors. They continue to pursue excellence: in the vineyard (precision sustainable agriculture), in the cellar (precision winemaking), in the bottle, and in the experience that customers have when visiting Bindi Sergardi. They aim to enhance the value of the Siena region, being aware of their responsibility towards the local culture. They work for the territory and the winery, ensuring its evolution so it can be passed on to the next generation.

Affectionately called Achille the Killer because it slays. But honestly named as a dedication to Achille Sergardi who dedicated his life to the Republic of Siena at the end of the 1400s. Young vined Sangiovese planted in limestone soils; fermented in stainless steel and finished in barrique. Red cherries, blackberries, round.

Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG. A Canapo is the rope at the starting line of the Palio horse race in Siena. translates to Fermented in stainless steel to conserve fruity and flora notes and then aged for about 6 months in older barrel. Strawberries, violets, bright.

Dedicated to Bindo Bindi, governor of Orvieto in 1400, known area for great white wines. All done in stainless steel. An intense bouquet, with hints of peach and pear. Fresh and tasty, mineral with good acidity.

This DOCG is dedicated to Calidonia Sergardi who married Girolamo Bindi. A very important wine and a sign of gratitude. Sangiovese planted on both Albarese and Galestro soils; fermented in stainless steel and then aged in 42hl barrels. Mixed berries, incense, silky.
I Colli Chianti Classico Riserva

The DOCG is dedicated to I Colli - the Bindi Sergardi hamlet that representes 23 generations of family winemaking. Higher elevation, 20 year old vines planted in Albarese soils. Stainless steel for fermentation, older oak for aging, and quite a bit of bottle aging for settling. Red fruit, roses, soft.

La Boncia, named to honor the generosity of its land, is a Chianti DOCG that showcases the essence of its vineyard. Ruby red in color, the wine exudes vibrant aromas of grapefruit, cherries, and raspberries. On the palate, it is smooth and well-balanced, with gentle tannins and a lingering fruity finish. Designed to be enjoyed young, the wine captures freshness and a fragrant bouquet, making it both delicious and easy to drink.

La Ghirlanda - a crown, an ornament, a celebration. It is also a special place - a wooded place on the Mocenni estate surrounding this vineyard. 15 - 20 year vines planted in both Albarese and Galestro soils. Wild yeast fermented in stainless steel and then aged for almost a year on older barrels. Red flowers, red fruit, balanced acidity.
Marcianella La Rosa d’Oro

La Rosa d’Oro from Tenuta Marcianella in Chiusi, Toscana, blends Sangiovese and Syrah grapes. Fermented in stainless steel vats for about 15 days at 28°C, followed by refinement in oak barrels, this wine has an intense ruby red color and a fruity bouquet with notes of mature red fruit, cherries, and blackberries. Known for its round, sweet, and soft profile with a persistent finish, the vineyard is situated at 320 meters above sea level with sand and clay soils and 20-year-old vines. "La Rosa d’Oro" symbolizes a prestigious Catholic Church award once given to Siena by Pope Alexander VII.

Once single parcel - parcel 89 - of 25 year old Sangiovese vines. Wild yeast fermented in stainless steel and aged for about 24 months in 42hl older barrels. Bottle aged for another year or so. Red berries, citrus marmalade, elegance.

A dedication to Niccolò Sergardi - the Sir Guardian (Governor) of Siena in 1530. DOCG Chianti Classico. 15 - 20 year old vines in Albarese soils; fermented in stainless steel and then aged for 8 months in medium barrels. Red cherry, black cherry, smooth.
Simbiosi IGT Toscana

Toscana IGT
Simbiosi, meaning "Symbiosis," symbolizes the union of the Bindi and Sergardi families. Produced at the I Colli estate in Monteriggioni, Tuscany, this IGT Toscana Rosso is a 50/50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The 15-20-year-old vines grow at 350 meters in Roccia della Montagnola and Alberese soils, using Spur Cordon and Guyot training systems. Fermented in stainless steel tanks at 28-30°C for 18-21 days, it is aged in oak barriques for 18 months and refined in bottles for another 12 months. The wine features an intense ruby red to garnet color, with a bouquet of mature red fruit, cinnamon, cassis, toasted hazelnut, and incense, offering a balanced structure with excellent tannins.
Tenuta Marcianella Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG

The Sangiovese grapes from the Le Tre Berte – Pieve di Argiano area in Montepulciano undergo fermentation with ambient yeasts in stainless steel vats for 18-20 days at 28-30°C. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is transferred to 50 hl oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and 18 months of refinement, followed by six months of bottle aging before release. This ruby red wine features mature fruit, flowers, and spices on the nose, with freshness, complexity, and silky tannins, showcasing the traditional characteristics of the Nobile di Montepulciano region.
