Bot River
Our Story
Beaumont is a charming, family-run farm and winery situated in the quaint Overberg Village of Bot River. The farm is home to the region’s oldest wine cellar and is steeped in history dating back to the 1700’s. In 2004, Sebastian Beaumont, having honed his skills working in vineyards, took over the reins in the cellar and has continued to build the Beaumont reputation. The flagship Chenin Blanc and Hope Marguerite has received Platter 5-Star ratings 12 times with the last nine consecutive vintages receiving five stars.
Founded in 1974 when the Beaumont family purchased the farm, the first wine under the Beaumont label was produced by Jayne Beaumont in 1994. The 490-hectare property includes 30 hectares of vines, 6 hectares of pears, 3 hectares of almonds, and some olive trees, surrounded by protected natural vegetation. The vineyards, situated on ancient shale soils, produce elegant, complex wines that capture the essence of the region.
Beaumont cultivates varieties such as Chenin Blanc, Pinotage, Mourvedre, and Shiraz, along with smaller amounts of Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Tinta Barocca, Petit Verdot, and Malbec.

Named after Hope Marguerite Beaumont - a woman of character, elegance, and a lover of wine. This 47 year old Chenin Blanc is naturally fermented in older 400L French oak vats. Pear, patisserie, acidity.
New Baby White Blend
Beaumont
Bot River
In 2015, the "New Baby" blend was created as a unique white blend from all the white varietals on the farm, featuring Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Colombar. Chenin Blanc forms the core of this blend, complemented by old vine Sauvignon Blanc and Colombar, along with 20-year-old Semillon and Chardonnay vines. This barrel-matured blend ensures each vintage uniquely expresses the vineyards.
Pinotage
Beaumont
Stellenbosch
Dry farmed, old bushvine Pinotage in the heart of Stellenbosch. There is no one who knows Pinotage better than Abrie. Fermented in open top concrete and finished in barrique. This one a mind changer. Black currant, baking spice, pure elegance.
