Our Story

Owned by Bertrand an Christiane Devillard and their children Amaury and Aurore since 1996, Domaine des Perdrix in Côte de Nuits has 15 hectares located exclusively in Côte de Nuits, with 6 hectares classified in Premier Cru and Grand Cru. There 18 different plots of vines for 9 appellations, with the oldest vines planted in 1922 The quality of the vineyards, their rigorous management and vinification have established the Domaine des Perdrix as a renowned Domaine, one of the best among the “Grands Vins de Bourgogne.”

Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Blanc

Hautes-Côtes de Nuits

The Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Blanc from a vineyard in Premeaux Prissey sits at 300-400 meters altitude and covers 0.45 hectares. The clay-limestone soil and east exposure benefit vines planted in 2009. Hand-harvested grapes undergo pneumatic pressing and cool settling before 14 months of stainless steel aging. This wine has a shiny yellow color with green tints, floral and flinty aromas, and an opulent palate balanced with roundness and acidity, finishing fresh and fruity.

Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Côtes de Nuits

Produced from vines planted between 1956-1965 in Premeaux-Prissey, spans 2.97 hectares. Hand-harvested grapes undergo a 4-6 day cold pre-fermentation, followed by a 15-day maceration and natural yeast fermentation. Aged for 13 months in French oak barrels and 3 months in stainless steel tanks, this wine has a bright peony-red color, earthy and fresh fruit aromas, and refined tannins with a mentholated finish.

Domaine des Perdrix's Echézeaux du Dessus Grand Cru, from Côte de Nuits, spans 0.85 hectares. Grapes are hand-harvested, 30% whole cluster, followed by a 4-6 day cold pre-fermentation and 15-day maceration. Aged 17 months in 60% new French oak, with 2 months in tanks before bottling. It has a beautiful red color, aromas of cherries, strawberries, and spices, and an ample palate with silky tannins and a long, slightly salted finish.

Echezeaux Grand Cru

Domaine des Perdrix's Echezeaux Grand Cru is from two plots in "Echezeaux Du-Dessus" and "Quartiers de Nuits," totaling 1.15 hectares. Hand-harvested grapes undergo a 4-6 day cold pre-fermentation, followed by 15 days of maceration and natural yeast fermentation. Aged 17 months in 40% new French oak barrels and 2 months in tanks. It has a deep red color with purple tints, a complex nose of red and black fruits with spice, and an ample, harmonious palate with a fruity, slightly salted finish.

Hand-harvested grapes undergo a 4-6 day cold pre-fermentation, 15 days of maceration, and natural yeast fermentation. Aged 13 months in 35% new French oak barrels and 4 months in tanks. It has a shiny ruby-red color, earthy, floral, and spice aromas, and an elegant palate with silky tannins and a long, fresh finish.
