Our Story
Spanning 5 hectares (12.5 acres), Domaine de la Ferté is devoted exclusively to Pinot Noir, producing both Givry and Givry Premier Cru wines. These vineyards, once owned by the monks of the Abbey of La Ferté, the first daughter-house of Citeaux, are ideally situated on a south-facing hillside with chalky clay soils. The 50-year-old vines yield wines that are both stylish and powerful, reflecting the rich heritage of the land.
Wine enthusiasts can indulge in tastings from five esteemed estates managed by the Devillard Family: Château de Chamirey, Domaine des Perdrix, Domaine de la Ferté, Domaine de la Garenne, and Le Renard. Each estate offers a unique expression of the region’s diverse terroir and winemaking excellence.

These vines that were planted in 1995 are surrounded by two Premier Crus. South east facing in deep clay soils. Aged 10 months in 228 liter Burgundian barrels of which 25% are new. Wild strawberries, fruity, supple.

Produced from a vineyard with 45-year-old vines. Hand-harvested grapes undergo cold pre-fermentation and a 15-day maceration with partial destemming. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation. It has an intense purplish-red color, aromas of spices and black fruits, and a complex palate with coated tannins and a saline finish.

Planted in 1985 in a mix of clay and silt soils, with lower parts being rich in sand. Aged in 228 liter Burgundian barrels for about 10 months, 25% new. Cherries, blackcurrant, elegant.
